Managing Partner at LBC Partners, LLC. Founded in 2004, LBC Partners provides capital and consulting services to emerging businesses. Engagements include:
– Today Sponge: Financed and executed the successful re-launch of the Today Sponge birth control device in 2009. Brand has risen to #2 Female OTC contraception. Additional responsibilities include strategic planning, marketing and advertising. Transaction includes ownership of the On-line Store selling the brand, other contraceptives and health care products.
– Pedemonte Cellars: Managing Partner. Co-Founded this small production winery currently producing award winning Cabernet Sauvignon and Adagio. Responsible for all business aspects of this and another small winery including sales, marketing, finance and order fulfillment.
– Premium healthcare products: Retained consultant to a marketer of high-end healthcare products; projects include strategic consulting, brand positioning/divestiture and operational reorganization.
– Debt and equity funding. Funded nine debt/equity investments since inception.
Prior to LBC, Conner was Founder, President and CEO of National Assessment Corporation (NAC) from 1997 to 2003. NAC was a national real estate due diligence firm specializing in engineering, construction and environmental assessments associated with commercial real estate acquisition, finance and surveillance. NAC was widely recognized as the fastest growing, most profitable firm in its industry and was successfully sold to LandAmerica in 2003. Prior to NAC, he co-founded Premier Medical Services, a national health services company that provided home care, nurse staffing and life insurance due diligence services. Premier grew 75% per year reaching $45 million in 1996 when it was successfully sold to Pediatric Services of America.
In addition to founding and successfully growing three companies, Mr. Conner has more than 20 years of experience in senior management positions involving operations, finance and administration. He has completed twelve merger and acquisition transactions, and negotiated bank and private equity financings. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of Adelante Capital Management, a $3 billion asset management firm and is a member of the Pacific Leadership Group, a CEO advisory firm. He has been a board member of Boys Hope Girls Hope SF, the Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance and a founding member of FUSE, the a major gift campaign for Sonoma Valley High School Boosters. Mr. Conner earned a B.A. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Southern California.
