Peter is a 30-year veteran business leader (CEO, CFO and strategy advisor). He serves as a "player/coach" to executive leadership individuals and teams, as well as boards of emerging to mid-size companies, with a focus on leadership, strategic and financial issues. In this capacity he provides a combination of hands-on execution and experienced-based guidance and mentoring; built on objectivity, transparency, mutual respect, and trust. His engagements are usually the result of inquiries and requests from CEOs and/or boards who have identified specific leadership or business challenges/opportunities where Peter's knowledge, experience, and judgment can quickly move the needle in a positive direction. In addition to his experience, Peter has, and can readily deploy, a broad and deep network of vetted resources that span the spectrum of organizational functions and needs.
Presently, Peter is Chairman and Co-Founder of Solful (www.solful.com), a California-based branded destination cannabis dispensary company, and serves as Chairman of InLumon, a Nevada-based company that provides cloud-based software solutions to state, county and municipal licensing agencies in the US. In 1999 Peter founded and served as CEO of eProsper, Inc. (acquired by Silicon Valley Bank in 2006) whose cloud-based and patented CapMx capitalization management system became the industry gold standard in the early 2000s and is used today by more than 6,000 venture-funded companies and their corporate law firms. Peter served as CFO for several medical device and technology companies including TruMed Systems, Inc., EndoTex Interventional Systems (acquired by Boston Scientific) and Atrionix (acquired by Johnson & Johnson). He was an EIR at Los Alamos National Laboratory where he identified and helped commercialize technology including Acoustic Cytometry Systems (acquired by Life Technologies) and architected the Los Alamos Venture Acceleration Fund. In the early 90s Peter negotiated a $500MM vendor financing facility for Pyxis Corporation (now owned by Becton Dickinson) with GE Capital that rapidly accelerated Pyxis’ market penetration and provided non-dilutive growth capital in lieu of equity.
Peter has initiated, organized, negotiated and completed many equity, debt, and M&A transactions with angel, institutional and strategic investors, and lenders. He has managed functional areas including product development and engineering, sales, service, finance and administration, and external relationships with investors, contract manufacturers, investment bankers, banks, attorneys and auditors.
Peter has served on the board of Friends of the Urban Forest and the San Francisco Day School. He holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a M.B.A. from The Wharton School.
Peter and his family (Lisa and two children, Jackson and Tess) reside in San Francisco with their Shepherd/Rhodesian Ridgeback, Porter, and spend as much time as possible enjoying the culture and outdoors in Northern New Mexico.
